The furoshikis we use for shooting pictures for the webshop are sold as ex-display. Due to the nature of some fabrics, if once tied there will be some light creases visible even after ironing (this is mostly true for stiff cotton fabrics or linen). We sell these with 15% discount compared to the new product’s price.

You’ll find that our furoshikis don’t just come in standard sizes. This is because the fabric we buy comes in different widths and we always cut it up with as less waste as possible. Therefore furoshikis made from a fabric that is 135cm wide might be slightly smaller than another one made from a 140cm wide fabric.

This also has the additional advantage that all these different sizes make it easier to choose a perfectly matching size for your purpose.

Please note that some furoshikis are made of delicate fabric and patterned or two-tone furoshikis are sewn with nylon thread not to spoil the harmony of the colours. Therefore we recommend washing your furoshiki in the washing machine at 30°C and ironing on the lowest heat setting.

In an effort to save trees, we do not ship an invoice with your purchase. Instead an electronic invoice is e-mailed to the address you provide a checkout. If you wish to have a paper copy, you may print your electronic invoice or request an invoice to be sent with your package at check out.

We hope that you love your new Furoshiki. If, however, you experience a problem with your purchase, or the product simply doesn't meet your needs, please let us know. We are committed to your satisfaction: whether it means sending a replacement for a defective product, finding another product that can better meet your needs, or refunding your purchase. In short, if you're not happy for any reason, please contact us.

 

Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable, and we cannot refund for mailing costs associated with returns and exchanges unless it is as a result of our error.

Once we received the returned products in expected condition (as new or faulty) verified your order information, your account will be credited the amount of your purchase.

 

Important: when returning products, for your protection please only use a postal service with proof of delivery! Pack items securely and enclose a letter clearly stating your name, the address used for delivery. Send your package to the Modern Furoshiki, 18 St Alphonsus Villas, Dundalk, Co. Louth, Ireland. For your protection please retain proof of postage.
